Domingo Alonso was born sometime around 1515. He was about twenty-five years old when he joined the Expedition in 1540. He was born possibly in Sevilla. He arrived in New Spain before 1538. Domingo was present at the 1540 muster as an unassigned horseman. After the expedition he was in Purificación. An individual with the same name served on the Luna expedition to La Florida in 1560 and another served with Roelas in La Florida in 1565. He most likely could sign his name.
