Three sons of Alonso Sánchez and Francisca de Hozes are listed in the documentary record: Alonso de la Cámara, Francisco de la Serna and Juan de Hozes. The muster of 1540, at which both his father and himself are listed as unassigned horsemen, does not offer a first name for the expeditionary son. Because his father came to New Spain in 1522 and because the muster does not register the son as an independent person from his father, it is safe to assume that this son was underage at the time of the muster. Therefore, he could be a native of Ciudad Real (Ciudad Real province) as were his parents or he could he a native of Mexico City.
