Bernardino de Villagómez

Brief Biography

Bernardino de Villagómez was a ship's captain for one of Alarcón's ships going up the Gulf of California and into the Colorado River. He also received a salary from Viceroy Mendoza prior to the Expedition, suggesting a connection between Villagómez and Mendoza. Bernardino later lived in Valladolid, Yucatán.
