AGI, Justicia, 1029, N.7, R.5 [Información...a pedimiento de Melchor Suárez y Alonso García. 1562, Puebla; a witness in June, 1561 in the ciudad de los Ángeles is Juan de Morales Coronel, vecino de los Ángeles and conquistador de Nueva España, about 60 years old, came to New Spain and went to the Río de Pánuco with Diego de Camargo; he was in that provincia for about a year until they were attacked by Indians and forced to flee to Veracruz, arriving just after Pánfilo de Narváez had been defeated there; Morales "vivir y estar en esta ciudad [de los Ángleles or México?]" and has a casa poblada; can sign but no signature on copy];
